Paul Pumalloclla has worked in tourism since 2009 and, since 2015, in digital marketing for Cusco’s travel industry. He led SEO projects for Cusco tour companies and in 2021 founded Cusco Creativos, an agency that builds websites and search strategies for travel agencies, tour operators and hotels.
He has worked on 48 travel and tourism projects, gives talks to marketing students at Universidad Andina del Cusco and teaches at Instituto Khipu. He lives in Cusco and travels the region these guides cover.
Why this guide
After more than fifteen years working with Cusco’s travel agencies, tour operators and hotels, Paul saw how many travelers arrive with outdated information: prices from years ago, circuits that no longer exist or routes that are poorly explained. This guide answers those questions with checked facts, in plain language and in four languages.

How we write our guides
- Every guide checks prices, opening hours and rules against official sources: Peru’s Ministry of Culture, SERNANP, PromPerú and the train and bus operators.
- Sources are listed at the end of each guide, and the “Updated” date shows the last review.
- When a rule changes (visitor caps, circuits, fares) we update the guide and its date.
Transparency and corrections
This guide isn’t a travel agency: it doesn’t sell tours or take bookings. If a link belongs to a commercial partner, we label it next to the link, and that never changes the facts or the recommendations. If you find something out of date, let us know through the contact page: we’ll check it, fix the guide and update its date.
